Jim Fassel was born August 31st 1949 in Anaheim, California USA and became one of the most acclaimed football coaches of all time. He received numerous prestigious awards for his contributions to society as a leader and coach; known for his remarkable leadership abilities; philanthropically active having donated millions to charities and organizations.

He attended Anaheim High School and University of Southern California before being selected in the seventh round of the 1972 NFL Draft by Chicago Bears, before playing for San Diego Chargers, Houston Oilers, Toronto Argonauts of Canadian Football League, and briefly with The Hawaiians of World Football League.

After retiring from the Giants, he went on to broadcast NFL games for Westwood One radio. He called numerous Sunday afternoon games as well as working alongside Bill Rosinski and Marv Albert at their 2008 NFC Championship Game broadcast on Westwood One radio.
