Business Center Utep Engineering

The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) is building a business center geared towards aerospace and defense technology. It is an effort to strengthen the manufacturing sector in the region and the U.S. aerospace and defense enterprise. The Center is a collaboration between UTEP and the El Paso Chamber of Commerce, the Aerospace and Defense Supply Chain Innovation Network for Manufacturers, and the W.M. Keck Center for 3D Innovation.

The center sponsors three main research avenues. It connects the College of Business Administration with the College of Engineering. Earlier, it was called the Institute of Manufacturing and Materials Management, but was renamed recently to focus on systems engineering. The center also sponsors joint master’s and doctoral degree programs, and is a hub for graduate and undergraduate engineering and technology education.
