Tony Puryear, an American screenwriter and artist with an estimated net worth of $2 Million, is best known as being the first American screenwriter to pen a $100 million summer blockbuster film: 1996’s Eraser which featured Vanessa Williams, James Caan and Arnold Schwarzenegger as stars. Puryear also co-wrote and illustrated Dark Horse Comics graphic novel series Concrete Park which won him critical acclaim.
Brown University graduate who majored in art. Early in his career he directed hip hop music videos. Later he relocated to Los Angeles where he joined Walt Disney’s Writer’s Fellowship class as an inaugural Fellow and has since written for numerous popular films and TV shows such as X-Files and Oprah Winfrey Show; additionally producing and directing numerous independent short films.
