Shandon Nicole Scott Passed Away on May 1, 2021
Shandon Nicole Scott died on May 1, 2021 in Salt Lake City. Scott was born January 20, 1989. She studied cosmetology at Granite High School, South Salt Lake. She enjoyed makeup, hair, dancing, and travel. She loved paranormal and scary movies. People who knew her well will recall that she loved these movies. She is survived by her parents, her paternal grandmother and her brother Ferrarius Michael Scott.
Her loved ones, friends, and coworkers are grieving the loss. She was a best friend and mother to her. She was always happy and laughing. The tragic accident occurred on Interstate 80 near the 2400 South exit. Paramedics arrived on the scene to investigate a single-vehicle accident and a suspicious death. Shandon was found in the car, while the driver fled.
Police responded to the accident and found Shandon Nicole Scott shot in the passenger seat. Vos was running around the vehicle when police attempted to save Smith. Vos was uncontrollable and refused to calm down when police arrived at his home. A witness said that Vos was “freaking out” behind the wheel. Police were told by a witness that Vos was throwing something off the overpass. A homeowner later found the handgun pieces outside her home.
According to authorities, Vos was Scott’s boyfriend. He was arrested near the scene, where the accident happened. They had been having domestic problems. He allegedly fatally shot Scott. He then placed her inside his car and drove it down the interstate. Vos has since been arrested and charged with homicide. Scott’s name was also honored by a GoFundMe page.
