The best time to ski La Hoya is in the morning when the snow is still fresh. The ski area is uncrowded, and is best on powder days. Free parking is available near the lift ticket office. The resort is mostly geared toward beginners and has few experienced skiers. You can expect long freshies at this ski resort. For those who prefer solitude, you can find the beginner’s area about one-third of the way up the mountain.
