June Diane Raphael, born in Rockville Center, New York is an American actress, screenwriter and comedian born 42 years ago. After attending South Side High School and New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts/Stella Adler Studio of Acting. After enrolling at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater to study improvisational comedy alongside college friend Casey Wilson in 2002 to create Rode Hard and Put Away Wet which earned them authority selection at 2005 US Parody Expressions Festival.
While performing at UCB, she met actor-comedian Paul Scheer and married him shortly thereafter in 2009. Together they have two sons named August and Sam; currently they reside in Los Angeles.
She has made numerous television appearances including Burning Love, Grace and Frankie and Adult Swim’s activity satire series NTSF:SD: SUV which she co-starred in from 2011 to 2013. Additionally she played Brianna Hanson in Netflix satire show Big Mouth as well as co-hosting film conversation digital recording How Did This Get Made with Jason Mantzoukas and Paul Scheer.
June is known for her roles in numerous critically-acclaimed movies such as Zodiac (2007), Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008) and Year One (2009). Most notably in 2012 she was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Girl Most Likely; additionally she served as writer/story editor on CBS’s Creature Comforts Americanized version.
In 2008, June caught Judd Apatow’s attention and would go on to feature in several of his films such as Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (2013), Going the Distance (2010) and Girl Most Likely (2012).
June’s writing talents extend well beyond acting, having contributed short stories to the book Worst Laid Plans and television shows such as Girlfriend’s Day on NBC.
