Gail O’Grady is an American actress best known for her portrayal of Donna Abandando on the television series NYPD Blue. A former model who graced several Sears and Montgomery Ward catalog covers, O’Grady also won multiple accolades during her acting career including being nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination in 1995 for NYPD Blue.

Gail began her acting career in the early 1980s by appearing in television commercials. Her first feature film appearance came with Kevin Bacon, Elizabeth McGovern and Alec Baldwin’s 1988 romantic comedy She’s Having a Baby; afterwards she made an appearance on NBC television show The New Adventures of Old Christine where she earned an Emmy Award nomination for her performance in “Hush, Hush Sweet Little Baby.”
